Sara Simbeya
MSW., RSW
Sara is a Registered Social Worker with over 20 years of experience, founder of Holistic minds. She offers individual counselling, group spaces, consulting, and community-based work that honours the full complexity of the human experience. Her approach is eclectic and client-centred, integrating clinical and somatic-informed practices to support healing, growth, and wellbeing in ways that reflect each person’s identity, lived experience, community, and nervous system safety. Rooted in emotional attunement and respect, Sara creates spaces for personal, collective, and organizational care, with a strong commitment to serving the diverse communities of Thunder Bay.
Tammy Turega
MSW., RSW, Ph.D
Tammy is a Registered Social Worker, therapist, and founder of Oak & Rose Counselling with over 17 years of experience in clinical, academic, and community settings. Holding a PhD and MSW, she works with individuals (14+), couples, and families, offering trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, and BIPOC affirming care for those navigating eating disorders, anxiety, trauma, and relational challenges. Tammy practices with humility and collaboration, remaining attentive to power, privilege, and identity in the therapeutic space. She is also a sessional social work lecturer committed to ethical, culturally responsive practice. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family, the outdoors, running, and cheering on her kids at the hockey rink.

Tamara
MSW., RSW
Tamara is a member of the BIPOC community and a Registered Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals across diverse settings. Holding a Master of Social Work, she is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers and the Canadian Association of Social Workers. She provides individual counselling and psychotherapy in Thunder Bay and virtually across Ontario. Passionate about mental health advocacy within judicial, healthcare, and education systems, she offers compassionate, inclusive, and non-judgmental care that honours diverse cultures, identities, and worldviews. Using an eclectic, individualized approach, she focuses on each client’s goals to foster healing, growth, empowerment, resilience, and a more diverse and affirming counselling space.
